How do I make my USB wireless adapter to connect faster to a wireless network?
I bought this D-Link DWL-G122 USB adapter so I can connect to a wireless network at home, but it takes too much time before it can detect the wireless network. How can I run faster?
There may be interference from other sources such as microwave ovens, or wireless network from a neighbor. Try changing the channel your wireless network. Channels range from 1 to 11. Try different channels to find one without as much interference.
There is also the possibility that the time is normal. Some wireless security and encryption settings to slow down the time it takes to connect to your network. However you should always be within a few seconds more. If you wait minutes to get online, there is no doubt wireless interference, and your best bet is to change channels.
