What is the difference between a nintedno wifi usb connector and wireless usb lan adapter ?
I wired Internet via Ethernet cable. I want to get wireless so I can play on a Wii but I want to know if a Nintendo Wi-Fi USB or wireless LAN USB adapter needed.
The WiFi USB connector into your computer and links off the Wii to your wired LAN.
The wireless LAN adapter cards into the slot behind the Wii and enables it to have an Ethernet cable plug on it, making it a wired connection.
I have the USB connector and I prefer that. Unfortunately, Nintendo has discontinued it :-(. You can find them through Amazon for $ 50, I think I paid $ 25 for mine when it was still pronounced.
If you do not want to run an Ethernet cable, your best option is to buy a wireless router. You do not need a super powerful b / c the Wii does not need it. So you could get one at Wal-Mart or Target for $ 35.
